During my first trip to India I went to visit Muktanandji Bapu in the remote village near junagadh. We were given the opportunity to see the girls' hostel that had already been built, and there were also further developments in progress. I was awestruck by the lofty vision of this great man,the sheer vastness of this project and how much had been achieved in a relatively short space of time.
The old axiom "Give a man a fish and he will feed himself for a day, teach him how to fish and he will feed himself for the rest of his life",certainly rang true here. With this in mind I felt that I had found my "charity!"
I know that all charities that exist do good work, however I have yet to come across one where there are no administration costs and also where every penny is accounted for. If anybody feels that they want to extend themselves by contributing to this world then I can think of no better way than through Inner Joy Foundation.By Raksha - (London)
Inspired by a saint and the work he is doing with the help of Inner Joy Foundation, I made my first trip to India. I stayed at the Chaparda Ashram., next to the Brahmanand School and Hostel complex and saw first hand the monumental task undertaken by this organization.
Muktanand Bapu took us to visit all the already developed projects, including the Junagadh Girl’s Hostel and projects still under development, scattered over Gujerat. The work is ongoing. What he has achieved in terms of building an infrastructure of hostels, schools, colleges and old peoples’ homes, in a few years, huge charities cannot achieve over decades. In fact, in just a few short years, graduates schooled in these schools are already integrated into the folds of this community. It is like a re-investment!
All the buildings and ongoing new builds are enabled completely by Inner Joy Foundation and sister charities.
In the past, I could not get the satisfaction that the money was going where it was intended. Even now, you are reminded that the outpouring of generosity that comes out of disasters like Haiti, you are informed, albeit through media, that the help is not getting to the people who most need it. Either the parties involved are unable to get to the people through political hindrance or the money is siphoned off.
Donating to organisations like Inner Joy Foundation is a guarantee that every penny is utilised. You are welcome to go see for yourself. With a saint at the helm and answering your every query, Inner Joy Foundation is like investing in a family that you watch thriving.
